I’ve been wearing Lane Bryant since I was 10. Yes 10 and I remember getting a matching brown leather skirt and vest set for a school Christmas pageant! Their selection has certainly evolved since than. For the past few years, Lane Bryant have been consistently bringing more fashion forward styles and collaborated with designer such as Isabel Toledo to give us more options.

Give me Coral

Hey Curvinistas, Although I love bright colors, I realized my last few post had mainly consisted of a black and white palette. So, for today’s look I’ve decided to switch it up and give you coral. I got this dress from latest delivery from Gwynnie Bee. The fit is not the best, because I choose to go up a size, due to not being familiar with the brand, which is Land’s End, and wanted to make sure it wasn’t too tight on my arms. I’m wearing a 3x, but a 2x would have been a better fit at my waist.  Another styling option would be to add a belt to cinch and accentuate your curves. That is a great alternative to tailoring when  a piece fits you well in other areas such as your arms and hips, but defining your waist could use some help. Also if you are between sizes, because of weight loss/gain; don’t get frustrated get a belt!

The shoes are from my current favorite shoe designer, Jessica Simpson, whose shoes I have featured in other post. I love going against the norm, so I decided to try buckling the straps across  one another instead of straight across. Which way do you prefer? Well, the chunky heel is back and I couldn’t be happier, because while I love the look of a stiletto heel; my  feet don’t always agree. These shoes are soooo comfortable that could strut a mile and then some!
