Weekends in SoFlo are filled with enjoying the perks of living in this international gateway including the diverse food and music that make up this diverse melting pot. Driving down South Beach with my windows down, I hear the line from one of my favorite reggae songs blaring from an outdoor restaurants, “out in the streets they call it MURDER”. This moment was the inspiration for today’s post title. (Not to mention it’s been stuck in my head since). A few weeks ago, I was at Macy’s looking for shoes for a party I was going to when I came across these amazing sneaker wedges from Michael Kors. I had never been a fan of the sneaker wedges, well mainly sneakers. Any one who knows me well, will tell you that they’ve never seen me in sneakers unless I’m going to the gym. However, when I saw these patent leather, sneaker wedges with gold accents; I became a convert!
So if you’ve been following my blog, you notice something’s different. Yes, it’s my hair!! I’ve decided to re-embrace my natural hair and give the weaves and pieces a break for awhile. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way; back to fashion!
Although I liked the style of these leggings they don’t provide much structure. To remedy this, I doubled up on the leggings by putting on a pair that had a control top first, and then put the printed leggings on top. I know you’re wondering if that would be too hot to wear, but remember leggings are already thin, so no heat strokes here.
